Village takes paving out of 1-year roads plan

Brady village board members have been planning for some time to pave additional streets in the mostly-gravel community,

The trustees even went so far as to piggy-back some funding for street improvements with the mandated repairs to the village’s wastewater collection site, which were recently completed.

But a preliminary look at a drainage plan by Miller & Associates Engineering Firm have forced trustees to back off of the paving plan until several areas of poor drainage are addressed.

In a special meeting on Thursday, the village board voted to accept the one- and six-year road plan as presented by Carla O’Dell, who serves as not only the village’s road superintendent but also the Lincoln County highway superintendent.
