Village declares 21 south-side properties nuisances

Brady residents have come a long way cleaning up properties over the last three years.

Through a nuisance abatement program administered by West Central Nebraska Development District, the village has eliminated numerous unlicensed vehicles, discarded tires, tall grass and junk in general.

But there’s still quite a bit of work yet to be done.

During their regular monthly meeting June 8, village board members officially declared 21 properties in violation of the nuisance ordinance.

The WCNDD program, initiated in the spring of 2013, divided the village into quadrants. The two north-side areas were evaluated by WCNDD staff during the first two years. The village board chose to lump the two south-side areas together this year.
