Tree damage

Storm after effects: Summer workers for the City of Gothenburg haul away branches from trees in Ehmen Park last Friday morning. Several trees in town were stripped of branches during a thunderstorm that produced 43 mph winds last Thursday night. Pictured are, l-r: Jonathon Clark, Tim Ogier and Paxton Gruber. Gothenburg emerged unscathed from a storm system Monday that spawned tornadoes near Elm Creek, Kearney, Amherst, Bradshaw, Ravenna, York and hail west of Overton with heavy rain reported at Sutherland and throughout central Nebraska where power outages were also reported.
