Josh Clark is ‘Believer & Achiever’
Gothenburg High School senior Josh Clark is one of six Believers & Achievers named in Nebraska for November.
The state-wide program, designed by U.S. Bank and the Nebraska School Activities Association, recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders.
From October through May of 2012, 48 Nebraska high school seniors will be named Believers & Achievers.
From those 48 finalists, eight will receive $500 scholarships from U.S. Bank to the college or university of their choice.
Students chosen show a commitment to good citizenship and involvement in school and community projects.
Clark has a 4.0 grade-point average. Accomplishments in activities include: 2011 NSAA Class C State Cross Country championships qualifier, 2010 NSAA Academic All-State Cross Country, Cross Country letter winner, third in duet acting to help Gothenburg win the 2010 NSAA Class B State Speech Championship, member of Goth
enburg’s 2011 NSAA Class B State Runner-up Speech Team as a state qualifier in persuasive speaking, earned an outstanding performance award at the 2010 NSAA District Play Production Championships, earned superior ratings as a soloist and in seven vocal group events at the NSAA District Music Contests, and member of the University of Nebraska-Kearney Honor Choir.
Clark is a member of National Honor Society and a class officer and is a Gothenburg Community Playhouse youth board member, a vacation bible school teacher and involved in Breast Cancer Awareness, the Salvation Army and Goodwill and is a Youth Community Improvement Program volunteer.
