Funds for FFA
GROW COMMUNITIES: Through America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, Jo Anderson of Gothenburg was chosen as the winning farmer in Dawson County to receive $2,500 to give to her favorite local nonprofit organization. Anderson chose the Gothenburg FFA Chapter because of how she, her husband and children benefitted from the organization while in high school. The money will be used to help send up to six students to the FFA Washington Leadership Conference and National FFA convention and to support other local FFA projects. Anderson donated the money during the local FFA chapter’s annual awards ceremony in the high school’s performing arts center last Thursday.
