FIrst-Day Assembly: The first day of school last Thursday began with junior and senior high students reciting the pledge of allegiance in the performing arts center. Because of a recent law, passed by the Nebraska Department of Education, public schools are required to allow time for the pledge each day. The practice was re-initiated at the secondary level but was already being done at Dudley Elementary.
