Gothenburg icon claimed by fire

Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department fire fighters are fighting a blaze that will claim the Gothenburg Livestock sale barn. The fire call came in about 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25. Fire fighters arrived at the seen finding smoke billowing from the building.

Flames began shooting out the south side of the structure before breaking through the roof. The building was reportedly empty at the time of the fire except for 2 dogs which were rescued.
