Swedes earn fall all-state honors
Landen Haake has been selected to the Class C-1 all-state defensive football team by the both Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star.
Haake, a defensive back, had 76 tackles with three fumble recoveries and two interceptions for the Swedes in 2009.
He also is No. 2 on the Gothenburg High School all-time statistic chart with 2,940 career yards rushing.
Brady Preitauer, Mark Hildebrand, Tyler Sheets and Patrick Reeves received World-Herald honorable mention.
Preitauer is also listed on the Journal Star’s honorable mention.
Swede volleyball stand-out Emily Max earned the Journal Star’s all-state honorable mention for Class C-1.
