MOVING PAVEMENT: A couple of weeks after city crews finished fixing a hole in a water main on Lake Avenue, another emerged nearby Monday on the southwest corner of Lake Avenue and 20th Street.
City service director Shane Gruber said city workers shut off valves on a main feeder line to the 20th Street well and pulled a section of pavement (pictured) to get to the leak to repair it. Water service was not interrupted and traffic waited for short amounts of time when heavy equipment was brought in. The leak was fixed and pavement replaced Tuesday. Cement should be cured by the end of the week, Gruber said.
