Businesses spotlighted: District 20 teachers toured local businesses Monday during an in-service where they learned about the needs of employers in hiring.
Steph Nichols, who directs Dawson Area Development’s ABLE (Advocating for Business Labor and Education) program said she hopes the experience will help teachers become advocates for businesses and spread the word about ABLE. Teachers toured All Points Cooperative, Gothenburg Memorial Hospital, Monsanto (where they also listened to Orthman Manufacturing of Lexington employers) and Baldwin Filters.
