CPNRD gains acreage by Darr
DC commissioners approve agreement.
Central Platte Natural Resources District gained water rights to 29 new acres.
At a meeting Friday, Dawson County Commissioners approved a deed of conservation easement between the CPNRD and Charles and Beverly Volk.
The easement gives CPNRD water rights to the Volks’ acreage at their residence north of the river by Darr.
In other business, an interlocal agreement was approved between the city of Lexington and Dawson County for responsible charge for the Overton bridge project southwest of Lexington.
The agreement was necessary for the county to get federal funds for the project.
On another matter, commissioners accepted the low bid of $195,000 from Murphy Tractor in Grand Island for a motor grader.
Nebraska Machinery Company of Lincoln provided a bid of $221,500.
In other business, commissioners authorized deputy county attorney Kate Gatewood, to proceed with an unemployment appeal.
