Filing deadline is Feb. 16.
Incumbents seeking re-election have an extra day to file.
Because federal, state and county offices will be closed Presidents’ Day on Feb. 15, the deadline has been extended to Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Challengers have until March 1 to file.
Gothenburg west ward council man Jeff Whiting will seek re-election.
Tim Strauser, whose east-ward seat is up for re-election, has not yet filed.
Last week, Mayor Joyce Hudson indicated she will seek another term.
For District 20 school board, incumbent Scott France has filed for re-election as did newcomer Jon Hudson.
Incumbent Nate Wyatt filed last week.
The third incumbent whose seat is up for re-election is held by Pat Hecox.
Gothenburg Memorial Hospital board incumbents Larry Gill and Brent Block earlier filed for re-election as did Craig Bartruff for the lone seat open on the Gothenburg Airport Authority.
Since last week, Allison Luther—a Republican from Lexington—filed for Dawson County treasurer.
Luther will challenge incumbent Sharon Wood who is also Republican.
The following county incumbents, who are also all Republican, earlier announced their intent to run.

County commissioner District 2—Bill Stewart
County commissioner District 3—Bill Brecks
District court clerk—Sherry Warner
Register of deeds—Ruth Meyer
Sheriff—Gary Reiber, Paul Schwarz
In races for county commissioner, Bill Brecks of Lexington filed for the seat now held by fellow Republican Roger Bauer of Overton.
Incumbent and Republican Bill Stewart seeks re-election to his District 2 commissioner seat.
District 36 state senator—John Wightman
The primary election is May 11 followed by the general election Nov. 2.
