Four medal at Loup City speech meet
LOUP CITY—The Brady High School speech team brought home four medals from the Loup City Red Raider meet Saturday including one gold.
Senior Danielle Gutherless finished first in the serious prose event among contestants from 27 schools.
Brodie Sullivan-Bock and Sierra Quadhamer earned individual medals and the five-person oral interpretation of drama team also finished second.
Brady will compete in the Sand-hills Conference meet Wednesday (today) at Stapleton.
The following are the results from the Red Raider meet:
Danielle Gutherless—First place in serious prose; superior in poetry; superior and excellent in duet acting with Chevas Shaw.
Brodie Sullivan-Bock—Eighth place medal in serious prose.
Chevas Shaw—Excellent in entertainment speaking; excellent in extemporaneous; superior and excellent in duet acting with Danielle Gutherless.
Jessica Schrad—Excellent in poetry; superior in duet acting with Ethan Callahan.
Ethan Callahan—Excellent in extemporaneous; superior in serious prose; superior in duet acting with Jessica Schrad.
Sierra Quadhamer—Second place in persuasive speaking; third place in humorous prose.
Micah Most—Superior in informative; excellent in entertaining.
Taina Taullie—Superior and excellent in serious prose.
Daniel Splane—Superior in poetry.
Lincoln Blede, Ryan Porter, Zach Mann, Kaleb Arterburn and Preston Franzen—Second place in oral interpretation of drama.
Jeff Simants, Kyle Pohlman, Tyler Egenberger, Brad Ward and Brodie Sullivan-Bock—Superior and excellent in oral interpretation of drama.
