Sandra Hayworth, 68 - June 29, 2013Sandra Hayworth, 68, of Central City, formerly of Gothenburg, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln.
Services will be conducted on Friday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel of Gothenburg with the Rev. Larry Viter officiating. Interment will be at the Peckham Cemetery near Gothenburg.
A visitation will take place at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service. Solt Funeral Home of Central City is in charge of arrangements.
Hayworth was born June 7, 1945, at Gothenburg to Harold and Hazel (Bringelson) Hayworth. She attended grade school in Gothenburg and graduated from Hershey High School.
After graduation, she worked at various jobs, living with her family in Hershey and then moving with them to Gothenburg.
Following the death of her sister, Jackie, she moved to Central City to be near her niece, Sheila Lenhart.
Hayworth loved watching TV and movies, and was very talented at sewing, knitting and crocheting, according to family members. She also loved going to garage sales and collecting rabbits as well as doing puzzles and puzzle books, but her greatest love was for her family and she always wanted the best for them.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Harold and Hazel Hayworth; two sisters—Charlotte Hayworth and Jackie Bodfield; a brother, Larry Hayworth.
Hayworth is survived by: her niece, Sheila (Kip) Lenhart of Central City; her nephew, Kevin Bodfield of Gothenburg; nine great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces.
