Glory Wilcox, 82 - March 18, 2009
Glory Eucillis Wilcox, 82, of Farnam, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital Long Term Care.
Visitation was held Wednesday, March 18, from 1-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg.
Services will be held Thursday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Farnam with the Rev. Mike Flury officiating. Interment will take place at 12 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, south of Maxwell.
Wilcox was born Jan. 10, 1927, south of Farnam, to John “Bud” and Edna Adkisson Hathaway.
She was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church.
Wilcox served as a board member of the Farnam Library and was active at the Senior Center, according to family members.
She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 61 years and the EMT’s for 15 years.
Wilcox was preceded in death by: her husband, Russell; her parents, Bud and Edna; an infant sister.
?Survivors include: her daughters—Sheila (Ron) Ecklund of Lincoln and Marla (Rod) Klein of Farnam; grandchildren and great-grandchildren—Ryan and Nina Ecklund and Hailey of Germany, Courtney Ecklund of Charlotte, NC, Ashley and Eric Dahlen and Anna of Washington, D.C., Amy and Brian Taubenheim and Bryton of Kearney, Michala and Tucker Soundy and Rylen of Doniphan, and Kyle Klein (friend, Cari Adams) of Farnam.
