Beverly Elizabeth Boyd, 83 - September 06, 2014

Beverly Elizabeth (Laird) Boyd, 83, of Big Timber, MT, originally of Cozad, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at her home.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
Boyd was born May 30, 1931, to Ross W. Laird and Nancy E. (Harlan) Laird at the family home west of Cozad.
She was raised at Cozad and graduated from Cozad High School with the Class of 1949.
Boyd entered nursing training at Mt. Pleasant, IA, and graduated from Alliance Nursing School. She practiced nursing in several different states including Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, California and Washington.
In 1963, she was united in marriage to Gordon Boyd at the Chapel of Transfiguration in Jackson Hole, WY. She and her husband shared their love for the Lord and put Him first in their marriage, said family members.
Her husband being a park ranger, the couple resided at national parks including Yellowstone, Sequoia Kings Canyon, CA, Olympic, WA, and Lake Roosevelt Recreation Area in Washington.
During her retirement, she and her husband lived at Port Angeles, WA, Overton, NV, and Big Timber, MT.
Boyd’s greatest joys included visits with family and friends, her backpacking and hunting trips in the wilderness and travels from Mexico to Alaska, according to family members. She maintained her spirit of adventure until she lost her battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ross and Nancy; an infant sister, Blanche Ellen.
Survivors include: her husband, Gordon; two brothers—Bill (Donna) Laird and John (Bobbi) Laird, all of Cozad; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials are suggested to the Big Timber Evangelical Church hearing enhancement system or donor’s choice.
