Luverne Gade, 91 - March 13, 2015

Luverne E. Gade, 91, of Pine Bluffs, husband of a Gothenburg native, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY, surrounded by family members.
Services took place on Tuesday, March 17, at Grace English Lutheran Church.
Gade was born April 6, 1923, at Miller, SD, son of the late Emil and Louise (Becker) Gade. He was raised at Pine Bluffs and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School.
In 1948, he married Mildred Kruse of Gothenburg. To this union, four children were born.
Gade was self employed and had owned numerous businesses at Pine Bluffs including the Wild Horse Truck Stop for 23 years and the Travelyn Motel.
He was a dedicated member of Grace English Lutheran Church.
Gade enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and bowling, according to family members, and will be remembered for his love of family and as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Emil and Louise; and five siblings.
Survivors include: his wife, Mildred; four children—Renae Corn, Carolyn DeMara, Daryl Gade and Marlene Svenkesen; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Grace English Lutheran Church.
