Virginia Vogt, 83 - March 17, 2015

Virginia Farrel (Parsons) Vogt, 83, of Gothenburg passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.
Services took place on Friday, March 20, at the Zion Lutheran Church north of Gothenburg with the Rev. Carol Mapa officiating. Interment was at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Gothenburg.
Vogt was born Nov. 23, 1931, at Cozad, daughter of George and Ethel (Griffith) Parsons, the second youngest of 10 children. She was baptized at the Zion Lutheran Church of Gothenburg, and graduated from Cozad High School with the Class of 1949.
On Nov. 23, 1952, she married Johnny Vogt. To this union, three children were born.
Vogt was active with Christian education at Zion for several decades. She loved children and took care of numerous kids over the years.
She took pride in working the farm and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens as well as entertaining guests and spending time with family, playing cards, board games and laughing for hours, according to family members.
Vogt was preceded in death by: her father, George Parsons; her mother, Ethel (Griffith) Parsons; her husband, Johnny Vogt; siblings—Goldie (Parsons) Buck, Alvin Parsons, Charlie Parsons, Margaret (Parsons) Howat, Doris (Parsons) Crandell, Dorothy (Parsons) Hennige, Donald Parsons and Robert Parsons; several nieces and nephews.
?Survivors include: her daughters—Lana (Anthony) Aduloju of Bellevue and Lynn (Cornelius “Butch”) Stewart of Lawton, OK; her son, Craig (Karen) Vogt of North Platte; grandchildren—Michelle, Stephanie (Caleb), Travis, Elizabeth, Jessica, Caroline, Anthony-John, Farrel, Camille and Deborah; great-grandchildren—Baylee, Braxton, Sylvie, Daphney and Alex; a sister, Ellen (Parsons) Majors of Lexington; sisters-in-law—Alice Vogt Hayes and Evelyn Majors Parsons, both of Gothenburg, and Doris Vogt of Cozad; brother-in-law, Henry Vogt of Gothenburg; numerous nieces and nephews.
