LvVaughn (Bonnie) Jensen, 90 - April 22, 2015

LaVaughn “Bonnie” Jensen, 90, of Olathe, KS, formerly of Gothenburg, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Graveside services were conducted on Monday, April 27, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
Jensen was born in Omaha on Sept. 23, 1924, the daughter of John and Zelda Nelson. She grew up as a child with her sister, Charlotte, at Omaha.
She met Walter Jensen while employed at the Fairmont Creamery. He entered the Army during World War II, which interrupted their blooming relationship, but they were able to keep it going by writing letters during a long war.
Upon returning from the war, the couple were married on Dec. 19, 1945. They then moved to Gothenburg where they resided for over 60 years.
?Jensen’s husband worked from North Platte as a Certified Public Accountant. He proceeded her in death on March 22, 2005. She then moved to Olathe in 2011.
?She was a dedicated wife, mother and a Christian woman who loved the Lord Jesus Christ, her Savior, and is now safe in His presence for all eternity, family members said.
Survivors include: her three children—David of Walnut Creek, CA, Elaine of West Linn, OR, and Dennis of Olathe; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
