Lila (Peg) Brown, 90 - May 08, 2015

Lila “Peg” Brown, 90, of Gothenburg passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.
Services were conducted at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 11, with the Rev. Larry Viter officiating. Burial was at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
Brown was born Sept. 27, 1924, at Bertrand, the daughter of Earl Edward and Autumn Lorna (Parkin) Bennett. She resided with her family at Eustis, Bertrand and Cozad while she was growing up.
She married Roy “Chet” Brown on Dec. 24, 1946. To this union, a son was born, Randy.
Brown worked at the Ford Garage during World War 11 rebuilding motors. She also helped her husband truck fuel, later working for Monroe Auto Equipment in Cozad where she worked until her retirement.
She loved to dance, spending countless hours dancing wherever she could find a dance, according to family members. She also enjoyed crocheting things for anyone, and loved kids and spending time with them.
?Brown was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy “Chet” Lee Brown; her son, Randy Brown; her parents; eight brothers—Vern, Virgil, Donald, Melvin, Mervin, Keith, Robert and Clinton Bennett; three sisters—Vivian, Erma and an infant sister, Eva Bennett
Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Nancy Parmenter; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Hilltop Memory Wing.
