Mildred Adkisson, 91 - October 21, 2015

Mildred “Millie” Adkisson, 91, of Cozad, formerly of Farnam, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at the Cozad Community Hospital.
Services took place at the Farnam United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 24, with the Rev. Neil Kloppenborg officiating. Burial was at the Farnam Cemetery.
Adkisson was born July 28, 1924, at Orafino, daughter of Richard Clifford and Julia Anna (McCarl) McMichael.
She grew up south of Farnam on the McMichael homestead.
On Oct. 22, 1941, she married Harold M. Adkisson at Oberlin, KS. To this union, five children were born.
The family lived at Farnam where she was a busy mother and homemaker.
Adkisson later moved to the Golden Living Center in Cozad.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold M. Adkisson; her daughter, Lola Maxine; her father, Richard Clifford McMichael; mother, Julia Anna McMichael; three brothers—Richard McMichael, Alvin McMichael and Herbert McMichael; five sisters—Elma Calhoon, Elsie Phillips, Mary Beck, Velma Phillips and Vera Ethel Craig; two great-great-grandson twins—Jagger and Marek Killion.
?Survivors include: her four sons—Kenny (Ginger), Ron (Shirley), Doug (Ellen) and Scott (Marcia) Adkisson; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters—Julia Schneider and Ruth Fisher; a brother, Clifford “Junior” (Betty) McMichael; brother-in-law, Zane Craig; sister-in-law, Ora McMichael; numerous extended family members.
Memorials are suggested to the to the Adkisson family for later designation.
