Arlyn Kay Rogers, 73 - May 04, 2016

Arlyn Kay (Elsasser) Rogers, 73, of Brady passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at her winter home in Chandler, AZ, with her family members present.
Services took place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Sells officiating. Burial was at the Brady Cemetery.
A visitation was conducted on Tuesday, May 17, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte with family members present from 5 to 8 p.m.
Rogers was born Nov. 14, 1942, to Arno and Evelyn (Murphy) Elsasser at Downey, CA, and was known her entire life as “Kay.”
Her parents moved to rural Brady in 1945 where she graduated from Brady Public Schools in 1961. She also graduated from Parks School of Business at Denver, CO, in 1962.
She was united in marriage to Bill Rogers at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on June 8, 1962, at North Platte. To this union, two children were born including Todd William in 1964 and Kristian Kay in 1967.
Rogers was employed as a school receptionist for numerous years, retiring with her husband in 2003.
She was a loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother, according to family members. She adored her five granddaughters and being with her family.
?Rogers enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking and hosting family gatherings serving her own specialties, family stated.
?She was preceded in death by: her parents, Arno and Evelyn; mother-in-law, Norma Sutton; father-in-law, James F. Rogers; brother-in-law, James K. Rogers.
Survivors include: her husband, George “Bill” Rogers of Brady; her children—Todd (Patty) Rogers of Chandler, AZ, and Kristi (Scott) Most of Tobias; five granddaughters—Anna, Sara and Kala Most of Tobias, and Samantha and Kylie Rogers of Chandler; a sister, Geraldine Bond of Brady; brother, Michael (Ann) Elsasser of Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law, Paula Rogers of Phoenix, AZ; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Brady School Foundation.
