William Brittain, 42 - August 24, 2016

William “Will” Lee Pil-Jae Brittain, 42, of Cozad passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, after a long battle with Leukemia.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
Brittain was born May 11, 1974, at Seoul, South Korea. He was adopted on April 10, 1975, by Jo Ann Parker who obtained him at an airport in Kansas City with his soon-to-be brother, Robert.
He attended school in Ogallala through the eighth grade and graduated from Cozad High School in 1993.
Brittain had joined the Army National Guard while in high school and later enlisted with the active duty Army. He graduated from Basic Training at Fort Sill, OK, and served overseas in Korea.
He then moved to Troy, NY, where he met and married his wife, Kiki, in 2005. The couple moved to Thailand where he became a school teacher.
On Dec. 31, 2014, he was diagnosed with Leukemia and moved back to Nebraska to receive immediate medical treatment.
Brittain enjoyed world traveling and could pack a tight suitcase, according to family members. He also loved shopping, even if he didn’t need anything, to give to his family and friends.
?He loved to cook and was a great chef with almost everything made from scratch, family stated. He was a loyal and generous friend to others.
?Brittain was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Harry and Dorothy Buntgen.
Survivors include: his mother, Jo Ann (Gene) Parker of Cozad; brother, Robert (Shellie) Brittain of Gothenburg; an aunt, Lynne (Jim) Tsapelas and their children—Elias and Talia; step-sisters—Rebecca (Mike) Lenhart, Lucrecia (Chad) Spady and Elisa Geisler, all of Minatare, and Amy Parker of Ansley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
