Elsie Stubbs, 90 - October 26, 2016

Elsie Eufemia Stubbs, 90, of Gothenburg passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at her home in Gothenburg with her daughter by her side.
Memorial services will be conducted at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel on Friday, Nov. 4, at 12 p.m.
Stubbs was born April 11, 1926, at Kearney, daughter of Carl and Ellen (Johonsson) Berglund, both Swedish Immigrants.
She grew up at Kearney and lived there until she was 13 years of age. She then moved to Chicago, IL, and graduated from Lake View High.
Stubbs later resided at Zurich, Long Beach and Hesperia, CA, before settling in Gothenburg.
She owned and operated an antique shop for 43 years.
Stubbs was a member of the PTA, Church Choir and the National Appraisers Association.
She was an energetic person with a wide variety of interests, and enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, movie stars, Swedish heritage, especially Christmas where they indulged in Swedish delicacies, travel, interior decorating, politics, TV, church programs, chatting with friends, bird watching and squirrels, according to family members.
?Stubbs was preceded in death by: her father, Carl Berglund; mother, Ellen Berglund; four sisters—Sofia Berglund, Ruth Berglund, Astrid Hamilton and Gertrude Krueger; her ex-husband, Ray Stubbs.
Survivors include: her daughters—Judy Stubbs of Gothenburg and Karen Graham of Seal Beach, CA; her son, Randy Stubbs of Maxwell; seven grandchildren—Christopher (Megan), Rebecca, Rachel, Kayden, Mattea, Stephanie and Curtis; a great-grandchild, Liam; nephew, Richard (Mary) Krueger; niece, Roberta (Joe) Moore.
