Anton Kotschwar, 88 - November 19, 2016

Anton “Tony” Kotschwar, 88, of Moorefield passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.
Services took place at the Farnam United Methodist Church, 303 Caribou St., on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Neil Kloppenborg officiating. Interment was at the Farnam Cemetery.
Kotschwar was born July 15, 1928, at home on a family farm in rural Stockville, son of William George and Viola Gail (White) Kotschwar.
He grew up in the Farnam area and graduated from Farnam High with the Class of 1946.
In 1947, he married Audrey Maxine Cross. To this union, three sons were born.
Kotschwar enjoyed watching his sons play football and basketball, according to family members. He loved the land, horses and raising Hereford cattle as well as dancing and playing cards.
He was a member the Farnam United Methodist Church.
Kotschwar was preceded in death by: his wife, Audrey Kotschwar; his parents, William and Viola; brothers—Clyde, Leon, Stanley and Robert Kotschwar; sisters—Viola Iburg, Gladys Thrasher and Maxine Kotschwar; brothers-in-law—Don Conklin, Jr. Thrasher and Roland Cross.
?Survivors include: his three sons—Dan (Cheryl) Kotschwar and Rick (Gwen) Kotschwar, all of Farnam, and Gary (Jody) Kotschwar of Moorefield; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; siblings—Betty Cross of Prinville, OR, Mable Conklin of Sterling, IL, Alice Fickenscher of Suprise, AR, and Jean (Ivan) Henderson of Lexington; a brother, Glen (Vicki) Kotschwar of Chadron; sister-in-law, Muriel Kotschwar; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Memorials are suggested to the Farnam Senior Center and the Farnam Methodist Church.
