Richard Hill, 58 - January 14, 2017

Richard W. “Rick” Hill, 58, of Lexington passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington.
A celebration of life Service took place on Thursday, Jan. 19, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel.
Hill was born Dec. 21, 1958, at Fairfield, IA, to Raymond and Cecelia “May” (Shewey) Hill. The family moved to Norton, KS, the following spring where he attended school and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
In 1972, Hill and his family moved to Lexington where he finished his schooling, graduating in 1978.
On June 17, 1978, he married Dawn Hunter. To this union, three daughters were born. The couple later divorced.
Hill began employment at the Lexington Mill and Elevator in 1978, where he was severely injured due to an explosion in January of 1979. He then went on to work for Paulsen Construction and other various jobs until his health forced him to retire from the work force.
?He was preceded in death by: his father; step-father; two brothers; one step-brother.
?Survivors include: his mother, Cecelia “May” Keen of Kearney; his three daughters—Nicole (Josh) Boomhower of Gothenburg, Heather Vanderpool of Cozad and Rikki (Manny) Alvarez of Lexington; grandchildren—Chasity, Hunter, Savannah, Dalton, Samantha, Aundrea and Luiz; two great-grandchildren—Stanley and Mavis; brothers—Bob (Deb) Hill of Tahlequah, OK, Kenneth (Diane) Hill and Larry Hill, all of North Platte; step-brother, Jerry Keen of Kearney; step-sisters—Sheila (Dave) Prosser of Wendell, NC, Joyce Keen of Kearney and Stacey Epley of Elkhorn; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
