Marlene Houchin, 65 - March 14, 2017

Marlene Houchin, 65, of Gothenburg passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Kearney.
Services were conducted at the Evangelical Free Church on Monday, March 20. Interment was at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Houchin was born May 6, 1951, at Lexington, daughter of Clarence “Jack” and Glenna “Darlene” (Wind) Strickland.
She had resided in the Lexington, Cozad and Gothenburg area all her life.
On June 11, 1966, she married Daniel R. Houchin at Lexington.
Houchin’s special interests included crafts, crocheting, shopping and gardening, according to family members. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Daniel Houchin; two infant sons; her grandparents; father Jack Strickland; mother, Darlene Weber; two sisters—Kristi and Jackie; three brothers—Gary, Terry and Robert.
?Survivors include: her two sons—Shane and Terry Houchin; her daughter, Becky (Kelly) McCoy; eight grandchildren—Morgan Weaver, Madisen Weaver, Connor McCoy, McMinkley McCoy, Brianna Houchin, Christian Houchin, Sydney Houchin and Kelsey Johnson; a brother, Larry Strickland; sisters—Kathy (Terry) Sabin and Linda (Greg) Osborne; nieces, nephews and extended family members.
