Marlene Finnell, 80 - April 02, 2017

Marlene Dawn Finnell, 80, of Brady passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.
Services were conducted at the Brady United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m. with the Revs. Neil Kloppenborg and Janie Freeman officiating. Interment was at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
Finnell was born June 16, 1936, at Alliance, daughter of Melvin and Bertha (Sisley) Colerick.
She grew up at Alliance and graduated from Alliance High School in 1954.
On March 1, 1964, she married George Finnell at Bridgeport. To this union, three children were born.
Finnell and her husband resided at Fremont, Sibly, IA, McCook and Chadron before making Brady their home.
She was employed with the local gas station at Diary Queen, and was a member of Red Hats Society “The Brady Beauties,” a card club and a craft club.
?Finnell enjoyed attending children’s activities, according to family members.
?She was preceded in death by: her husband, George W. Finnell; her parents, Melvin and Bertha; sisters—Minnie and Dorothy; brothers—Donnie, Earl, Harlan, Ben, Dale and Lyle Colerick.
?Survivors include: her two sons—Troy (Marci) Finnell of Wright, WY, and Todd (Denise) Finnell of Brady; her daughter, Amy Finnell of Farnam; 10 grandchildren—Rich, Cassie, Shawn, Les, Steph, Kendra, Colt, Wylee, Cole and Ian; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Eva Toline; faithful companion, Maggie; numerous extended family members.
