Joyce (Joy) Kuhlman, 57 - April 12, 2017

Joyce “Joy” Kuhlman, 57, of Gothenburg passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha.
A memorial service took place at the American Lutheran Church on Wednesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jon Mapa officiating. Inurnment was at the Peckham Cemetery at Gothenburg.
Kuhlman was born Oct. 21, 1959, at St. Paul, MN, where she lived for the first 13 years, before her family moved to Gothenburg for two years.
She then moved to Jeffrey Lake with her mom and step-father and graduated from Brady High School in 1977.
Kuhlman was married twice, and to these unions, three children were born.
She was employed at Country Estates of Cozad for a number of years.
Kuhlman loved to cook and garden, and had a great sense of humor, according to family members. Her family always came first, and she enjoyed visiting with others.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Ray Haugen; brother, Randy Haugen; step-brother, Dave Middleton; step-father, Sumner Middleton; grandparents, Murl and Helen Swayze.
?Survivors include: her two sons—Nick (Sonya) Sitorius and Jake Sitorius; her daughter, Sonie Kuhlman; grandchildren—Aspen, Jadyn, Nathan, Quenton, Kaitlyn and Natalie; her mother, Beverly Middleton; a brother, Brian Haugen; sister, Sandy Bennett; step-brother, Steve (Katherine) Middleton; step-sister, Cathy (Chuck) Russo; step-sister-in-law, Deb Middleton; special friend, Randy Callahan; numerous nieces and nephews.
