Rosetta Stevens, 89 - May 29, 2017

Rosetta Stevens, 89, of Gothenburg passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at Gothenburg.
Services were conducted at the Zion Lutheran Church of Gothenburg on Friday, June 2, with the Rev. Carol Mapa officiating. Interment was at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Stevens was born Jan. 18, 1928, at Beatrice, daughter of Henry and Wilhelmina (Jurgens) Jobman.
She grew up in the country near Beatrice and lived there until her marriage to Raymond Stevens on April 23, 1950.
Stevens and her husband resided at Gothenburg where she spent the remainder of her life.
She spent her life primarily as a wife and a mother to six children. She also worked at Evans Frozen Foods in Cozad from 1970 to 1981, and later was employed with Jack and Jill Deli and Peterson’s Deli.
Stevens was a member of the Co-Burg Gals and Zion Lutheran Women’s Group. She enjoyed her family as well as visiting with others including her special friend, Lenay, gardening, embroidery and baking, according to family members.
?She was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Stevens; her parents, Henry and Wilhelmina; a son Dale Stevens; four brothers—John, Ernest, Wilfred and Leroy; two sisters—Tena and Irene.
?Survivors include: her three sons—Dennis Stevens and Dean (Shirley) Stevens, all of Gothenburg, and David (Marjo) Stevens of Hubbard; two daughters—Linda (Ken) Long of Homer and Tammi (Maurice) Williams of Westminster, CO; seven grandchildren—Amber, Raine, Bryce, Tyler, Hallie, Shelby and Antonia; brother-in-law, Lewis Stevens of Ralston; two sisters-in-law—Connie Stevens of Gothenburg and Anna Jobman of Beatrice; nieces, nephews and extended family members.
