John Kratzenstein, 79 - July 03, 2017

John F. Kratzenstein, 79, of Brady passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Gothenburg,
Services took place at the Evangelical Free Church on Friday, July 7, with the Rev. Mike Maroney officiating.
Kratzenstein was born Jan. 14, 1938, on a farm north of Brady, son of Arthur and Martha Kratzenstein.
He grew up at Wild Horse Valley and graduated from Brady High School.
On April 21, 1963, he married Darlene Sears at North Platte. To this union, a son and a daughter were born.
Kratzenstein lived his entire life in Wild Horse Valley where he farmed and ranched.
He lived his life treasuring his friends, his family and his faith, according to family members. His happiest moments were spent with family.
Kratzenstein also lived his life as an example of his Christian beliefs with a calm demeanor, patience and faithfulness, he inspired others, stated the family.
He was a member of the Svea Dal Covenant Church.
?Kratzenstein was preceded in death by: his parents, Arthur and Martha; a sister, Marilyn Rubenthaler.
?Survivors include: his wife, Darlene Kratzenstein of Brady; his son, Monte (Lexi) Kratzenstein of Kearney; his daughter, Suzanne (Arlen) Quinn of Bellevue; grandchildren—Josie and Jace Kratzenstein of Kearney, Amber(Jonathon) Sims of Elkhorn, Brian Quinn of Mayville, ND, and Shelby Quinn of Bellevue; two great-grandchildren—Cullen and Raegan Sims of Elkhorn; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Memorials are suggested to the Svea Dal Evangelical Covenant, 1676 Svea Dal Rd., Brady, NE 69123, and the Cromer Scholarship Fund at the Brady High School.
