Jeramie Powell, 45 - July 06, 2017

Jeramie James Powell, 45, of Gothenburg passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Great Plains Health in North Platte.
Memorial services took place on Tuesday July 11, at the First Presbyterian Church of Gothenburg with the Rev. David Boyd officiating. A private family inurnment will be conducted at a later date.
Powell was born on Dec. 15, 1971, at Pawtucket, RI, to Roger Ray and Judy Ann (Dolan) Powell. When he was three months old, the family moved to North Platte where he grew up and graduated from North Platte High School with the Class of 1990.
He was employed with numerous jobs including construction, carpentry, painting, wood working and dry walling. In 2009, he moved to Gothenburg.
Powell had a faith and took a lot of pride in his work, often talking about the satisfaction he gained in the jobs he took part in, according to family members.
He was known to be stylish and artistic, said family. He enjoyed motorcycle riding as well as grilling, cooking, building houses, fishing, Nebraska football and spending time with his family. He was also known to be ornery, fun loving and a jokester with a good heart.
?Powell was preceded in death by: his father, Roger Powell; grandparents, Dewey and Lucille Powell and Dick and Phyllis Dolan.
Survivors include: his mother, Judy Powell of North Platte; special longtime companion, Patti Vesely and her son, Luke; siblings—Charity (Nate) Wyatt of Gothenburg, Becky (Jimmy) Serrano and Casey Powell, all of North Platte; nieces and nephews—Emily Ann, Haylee, Addison, Jules, Ellie, Lilith, Ea Ray, Tucker and Maxwell; numerous other extended family members.
A memorial has been established.
