Marjorie Lindekugel, 89 - August 26, 2017

Marjorie May Lindekugel, 89, of Gothenburg passed away Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Kearney Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services were conducted at the Gaslin Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 1, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Viter officiating. Those wishing to join the procession with family members met at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m.
Lindekugel was born May 27, 1928, at Gothenburg, the daughter of Jim and Helen (Fiddock) Sherman.
She grew up and attended schools in Gothenburg.
In 1954, she was married to Floyd Lindekugel. In 1959, the couple moved to Southern California and settled at San Bernardino where they raised their children.
Following her husband’s retirement, they returned to Nebraska in 1986 and resided in her home town of Gothenburg.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
?Lindekugel was preceded in death by: her parents, Jim and Helen Sherman; her husband, Floyd Lindekugel; a grandson, Tim Lindekugel.
?Survivors include: her two daughters—Paula (Larry)Hashman and JoAnn (Tom) Lunsford; her son, Jim (Shelly) Lindekugel; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Sherman; sisters—Mimi Dodge, Margaret Rubenthaler and DeDe Diehl; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, 1002 Ave. C, Gothenburg, NE 69138.
