Laurence Alger, 67 - November 30, 2017

Laurance “Larry” Dean Alger, 67, of Gothenburg, died Nov. 30, 2017 at Cozad Care and Rehabilitation in Cozad.
Larry was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colo., son of Ralph and Josephine Alger. He grew up in Colorado Springs.
In August of 1987, Larry moved to Gothenburg where he worked as a carpet layer for 36 years.
Larry enjoyed many things in life including stock cars and racing in his early adult years as well as car club, Husker football and Denver Broncos football.
Survivors include two daughters—Jill (Troy) Franzen and Kristy (Matt) Connolley all of Gothenburg; two sons—Lawrence James Alger of Menominee, Mich. and Scott (Kayla) Peterson of Gothenburg; six grandsons—Nicholas, Andrew, Bradley, Austin, Zane, Kendrick; three granddaughters—Evelyn, Ashlyn, Brilyn; brother, Ralph Alger; sister, Dora Jackson and special friend Ann Butterfield.
Larry was preceded in death by father, Ralph Alger, mother, Josephine Alger; sister, Elsie Frances Pinson; brothers, Ray and Bruce.
Register book signing will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 9-5 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel with Tiff Varney officiating.
