Fred Kloepping, 53 - October 31, 2007
Fred Kloepping, 53, of Eustis, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Cozad Community Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 12 noon, at the East Cemetery at Eustis with the Rev. Beverly Rautenberg-Panko and Lonna Grabenstein, PMA officiating.
A memorial book visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (today) at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
Kloepping was born on May 3, 1954, at Cozad to W. “Doc” and Doris Schroeder Kloepping, the youngest of six children. He grew up on a farm at Willow Island where he attended rural school and graduated from Cozad High School in 1972.
On Nov. 25, 1978, he was united in marriage to Sharon Holbein of Eustis at the farm home of her parents, where they have lived. To this union two children were born.
He was a man of many talents, according to family members, including an auctioneer. He also delivered milk to area grocery stores, drove a gravel truck for Hunt’s Gravel and became a mason, working for Elden Joneson.
There are many homes in the area that display his talent of manipulating brick and mortar, said family members.
Kloepping and his wife had together farmed the family farm at Eustis.
?He was known for his great wit and always having a joke and a smile as well as helping friends and strangers anytime, day or night, according to family members.
?Kloepping was a member of the Cozad Elks Lodge, the Eustis Lion’s Club, served on the Eustis School Board and served nine years on the Board of Directors of Farmers Cooperative Association.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Doc and Doris; a brother and sister-in-law, Burrell and Maxine Kloepping.
Survivors include: his wife, Sharon of Eustis; a son, Wade of Eustis; a daughter, Gina Kloepping of Minden; three sisters—Linda Beyersdorf of Elizabeth, CO, Jann (Dwight) Devine of Cozad and Gwenn Kloepping of Englewood, CO; a brother, Bob of Cozad; numerous nieces and nephews.
