Services were held on Thursday, April 12, at the United Methodist Church of Farnam with the Rev. Tess Hufford officiating. Burial was at the Farnam Cemetery.
Johnson was born on Dec. 2, 1952, at Fort Dodge, IA, to LuVerne and Betty Young Johnson. When he was 2, the family moved to California where he received his education at Orange County.
He had moved back to Nebraska and was united in marriage to Lowenn Cook at Litchfield, and later moved back to King City, CA, where a son, Terry II was born. He worked in the oil fields and was a certified welder on the pipelines.
Johnson and his wife moved back to Overton where another son, Kurtis was born, at Sargent. He worked for New Holland in Lexington until it closed. He and his wife then purchased Johnson Bait and Tackle south of Lexington. The couple divorced in 1984.
He married Marlene (Kramer) Green on Aug. 10, 1985. He continued to operate the bait shop and worked for Monroe Auto in Cozad. He later worked for Valley Sales as a welder, a skill he enjoyed, the family said, until his health failed.
Johnson sold his bait shop and managed the Bridgestreet Liquor Store for seven years until it was closed. He then worked for Goshen Rubber in Gothenburg after moving to Farnam. He was employed with Parker Tech Seal, formerly Goshen Rubber, until the time of his death.
?He enjoyed hunting and fishing, said family members, and in his spare time he reloaded shells for other people as well as himself and made shot for trap shooting out of old wheel weights.
