Lorie Borron, 34, of Lincoln, formerly of Gothenburg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Bryon LGH East Hospital in Lincoln.
Services will be conducted at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Neil Kloppenborg officiating. Interment will follow at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
A visitation will take place prior to services at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Borron was born March 21, 1977, at Denver, CO, daughter of Leonard “Tucker” and Linda Borron.
She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1996, then attended the Job Corps from 1998-1999 in Denison, IA, where she graduated with some of the highest honors.
Borron returned to Gothenburg in 2000 where she lived and worked at various jobs. She moved to Lincoln in 2005 where she lived and worked until her health deteriorated and she became unable to work.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Leonard “Tucker” Borron; grandfather, Donald Peterson; grandmother, Violet Borron; step-father, David Frickson; two uncles and one aunt.
Survivors include: her mother, Linda Frickson of Gothenburg; two sisters—Julie (Dana) Haugen of Hay Springs and Brenda Ekhoff of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother, Doug Borron of Omaha; four nieces and four nephews; grandmother, Margaret Rubenthaler of Gothenburg; aunts, uncles, cousins and her best friend, Lynn Gruwell.
