Lois Bullock, 81 - February 04, 2012
A visitation will be conducted at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg on Wednesday (today) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Services will take place at the First United Methodist Church on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial will be at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Bullock and her twin sister, Lola, were born on March 2, 1930, at Lexington to Ralph and Nellie (Lowery) Newbrey. She graduated in 1948 from Cozad High School.
On Jan. 27, 1956, she was united in marriage to Robert Bullock at the First United Methodist Church in Gothenburg.
She enjoyed listening to her extensive record collection, looking through her old movie star pictures and collecting knick-knacks, according to family members. She loved her family, watching western movies and listening to country music.
?Bullock was a 55-year member of the United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Gothenburg American Legion Auxiliary.
?She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ralph Curtis and Nellie Newbrey; her siblings—Grover, Fred, Bessie "Bernice" Zeigler, Leon, Wallace, Jay, twin sister Lola, Mary Quinn and Bob.
?Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, Robert Bullock; her son, Brian (Cheri) Bullock of Cozad; daughters—Deborah (Larry) Horstman of Cozad, Laura Kelly and Bruce Wootan of Gothenburg; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Smith of North Platte; numerous other family members.
