Arnold Buss, 93 - March 25, 2013Arnold William Buss, 93, of Gothenburg died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Gothenburg.
Cremation was chosen. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery.
Buss was born Aug. 15, 1919, at Eland, WI, son of William and Francis (Gracyalny) Buss. He grew up in Eland and graduated from St. Elizabeth’s High School at Milwaukee in 1933.
He served with the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, serving at the Battle of the Bulge.
On Sept. 14, 1946, he married Alberta Esther Gust at Mother of Perpetual Help in Milwaukee.
Buss and his wife resided in Wisconsin at Milwaukee, Pulaski, Cedarburg, Newburg and West Bend. They had also lived at Kingman, AZ, from 1988 to 2006, then moved to Gothenburg.
He was employed as a factory supervisor at several different manufacturing facilities.
Buss enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, puzzles and gardening, according to family members.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, William and Francis Buss; three brothers—Edward, Mervil and Lenny Buss.
Survivors include: his wife, Alberta Esther Buss of Gothenburg; two daughters—Linda (Dan) Butterfield of Gothenburg and Jean (Dan) Schaich of The Villages, FL; four sons—Robert (Donna) Buss of Las Vegas, NV, David (Karenne) Buss of Kingston, MA, Alan Buss of Grafton, WI, and Bill (Jody) Buss of Cedarburg, WI; a brother, Richard (Doris) Buss; four sisters—Elaine Behnke of Woodstock, IL, Rosalind Wincell of Brookfield, WI, Millie (Edward) Buss of Scottsdale, AZ, and Anne-Marie (Mervil) Buss of Milwaukee, WA; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
