FCCLA projects earn trip to state contest

Brady’s FCCLA participants couldn’t have asked for a better outcome at the district STAR competition on Jan. 27.

All six of Brady’s students in the contest earned gold medals and four projects received top golds as district champions. Those four will compete at the state contest in Lincoln in April.

FCCLA—Family, Career and Community Leaders of America—is a nationwide career and technical student organization for young men and women. Each year, participants select individual, group or chapter projects within the STAR program (Students Taking Action with Recognition) and compete on the district level in a number of divisions that recognize proficiency and achievement, leadership skills, and career preparation.
