‘Tired Tush’ takes Hild to nationals

When Adrianna Hild started thinking about an environmental problem she could address with an FCCLA project, she discovered mountains of materials all over.

“I live on a farm and seeing the huge tires on the machinery stuck out to me,” the Brady freshman says during her presentation. “Many tires have been discarded over the years in people’s pastures, ditches and anywhere it seemed nothing else was, and I didn’t have to look far to discover old tires laying around. That’s when I decided that making something from tires might be a good idea.”

That’s how “Tired Tush” was born as a STAR project in the Recycle and Redesign category for FCCLA—Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
