County goes for Trump and Clinton

More ballots cast than in 2012.

More Dawson County voters cast ballots than four years ago in Nebraska’s May 10 primary to throw their support to presidential contenders Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Dawson County clerk and election commissioner Karla Zlatkovsky said 29.2% of the electorate voted compared to 21% in 2012 during the last presidential primary.

The turnout beat the 26.5% of Nebraska voters who voted in the 2016 primary.
