McMichael gives closing at graduation

Editor’s note: Closing remarks given by Blayr McMichael at Gothenburg High School’s graduation were not published in the May 18 issue of The Times. As a result, the speech is published below.

McMichael was one of three top academic-ranked students to offer remarks at the ceremony.

 

High school is typically the same for most people—it consists of spending four years of trying to find yourself, your friends, your dreams and aspirations. They say that it is the “best four years of your life!” This is wrong.

It is actually the best and largest learning experience that anyone gains in their life.
