Records set, expectations met

OMAHA—Coach Rich Britten had a feeling this could be a good year for Brady track.

Several athletes were back from 2015 and the stage was set for another good run in 2016. Expectations were high.

At the end of the Nebraska State Track Meet on Saturday in Omaha Brady’s boys and girls track teams both finished as the sixth best in Class D. The Eagles also had three state champions. For the girls, Giltner was the champion and for the boys, the title went to High Plains Community.

“I think this might be the highest a girls team has ever finished at state for us,” Britten said.

Britten had some busy athletes on Friday and Saturday.
