Bats go quiet on the road

After opening the season 2-0, the Gothenburg Senior Melons dropped two on the road last week. As their offense struggles.

BROKEN BOW—Things started promising for Gothenburg May 31 on the road as the Seniors put up three runs in the top half of the first inning against Broken Bow. However, the Seniors lost 14-6.

Braeden Brundage, Riley Ostendorf and Zach Kolbo all plated in the first inning. Brundage walked and stole a base before scoring on Ostendorf’s single. Kolbo then walked. Ostendorf scored on Quinn Haynes’ single, and Kolbo went home on an error.
