Dog declared vicious

Drainage bids also accepted.

After an emotional hearing for the owners of a St. Bernard who witnesses said attacked another dog, the Gothenburg City Council declared the animal dangerous.

Under city code, dogs declared dangerous must be euthanized, taken out of city limits or meet other requirements, including muzzling and liability insurance.

During the hearing, police chief Randy Olson shared the report and pictures of a dog injured in the incident, which occurred May 17.
