No special use permit for church

Request by The Crossing denied, members asked to reapply.

The Crossing Fellowship will have to reapply for a special use permit if members wish to construct a church at 2302 Ave. M.

That’s what Mayor Joyce Hudson told members who attended the June 7 Gothenburg City Council meeting after the permit was denied.

Council president Jeff Kennedy and Verlin Janssen voted to grant the permit while Randy Waskowiak abstained because he lives in the area and would benefit from an alley requested by property owners.
