Catholic School Girls by Gothenburg Community Playhouse

Imagine playing a character in first, second, fourth, sixth and eighth grade.

Four Gothenburg High School students cast as girls in a Catholic school in New York know exactly how that feels.

“The characters are easy to connect with but there are many layers,” said Georgina Dishman, who plays Elizabeth McHugh. “It’s hard, because in one scene you’re one age and in another, you’re another age.”

The public can see these changing characters in action Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., as the Gothenburg Community Playhouse presents “Catholic School Girls” in the Sun Theatre.

Tickets are on sale at the two banks and for an hour before each performance at the box office.
