Drug court helps bad decisions turn into better ones

Nebraska chief justice recognizes specialty courts, lauds judge Doyle, Sen. Williams.

LEXINGTON—Brooke Weeder came from a good family but made bad decisions, beginning at age 14.

 

“I started smoking cigarettes and that was a gateway drug for me,” she said. “Since I was already smoking, it was easy to go on to other illegal things.”
