Swedes rule on rivals home course

COZAD–The Swede Golfers were on the road on April 27 for the Dawson County Meet played in Cozad. The weather conditions weren’t the greatest to play golf in as there were periods of rain and the temperature was on the cool side. The Gothenburg golfers were able to put all distractions aside and out-play their Dawson County rivals to claim the win and become this year’s Dawson County Champions.

The Swedes earned five of the eight medals that were handed out for lowest scores. Grant Sell was the best golfer of the day as he shot a 75, followed by John Kozeal who tallied a 78 for second. Nathan Belanger played some of his best golf of the year as he finished with an 85. Sean Scott and Collin Hahn had to play an extra hole against each other as they both finished with a score of 87. Scott beat Hahn by one stroke to claim the seventh place medal and Hahn took eighth.
